Food to be Avoided During BRAT Diet
There are certain food items which should be avoided when you are suffering from stomach upset and are on a BRAT diet. Sugary drinks, dairy products, and fatty food can trigger the nausea and diarrhea and worsen the condition further. Raw vegetables, like carrots, cabbages, cucumbers, citrus fruits and juices are also not suitable for a tender stomach. Caffeinated beverages have laxative properties, and hence one should stay away from them.
