A dull abdominal pain can be mild to severe. There are various reasons which can give rise to this kind of a pain. Some reasons can be minor while the other severe. Pain due to minor reasons is mild and generally subsides without taking any treatment. On the contrary, the reason behind severe and constant abdominal pain can be a major one and will require appropriate treatment. Most of the time, this pain originates from the digestive system and then spreads to the remaining parts.
Symptoms of Abdominal Pain
A faint abdominal pain is severe, dull, and constant. At times, some people can also experience abdominal cramping. The pain will also make the stomach tender to touch and might lead to diarrhea. Sometimes, presence of blood will also be observed in the stools. In some cases, the color of the stools might change to tarry or black. All these disorders might be accompanied with fever and also cause a burning sort of a pain in the abdomen.

If the pain is due to some minor reason like indigestion, you can opt for some home remedies. Some of the home remedies include consumption of lime water, fruit juices, and some mild over-the-counter painkillers. But, if it is due to a major reason like gallstones, ulcers, and kidney stones, it is better to consult a doctor for the appropriate treatment before the medical condition intensifies.
