
Tritace contains rampiril, a medicine which is used as an ACE inhibitor. This drug may cause some minor or temporary side effects; but rarely, some individuals may develop severe adverse reactions.
Being an ACE-inhibitor, Tritace relaxes and widens blood vessels and improves blood circulation. Usually, this medicine is used for treating hypertension; and to prevent conditions like stroke, heart attack, heart failure, kidney problems, etc. Tritace is available as tablets, capsules, or oral liquid medicine. It is available in the following dosages – 1.25 mg, 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg. The dosage is decided by the health care provider, according to the health condition of the patient. Users may experience some mild side effects after taking this medicine. Though rare, serious adverse effects like a severe allergic reaction, may develop in some users.
Mild Side Effects
Usually, most of the users experience some minor side effects, especially during the initial days of treatment using Tritace. Even those who switch to a higher dose may develop such symptoms. Dizziness is a symptom that is commonly found in users, during the initial days of treatment. So, they are often advised to take the medicine at bedtime. In some cases, Tritace is administered under medical supervision. Severe Side Effects
While mild allergic reactions are not uncommon, some users may develop serious symptoms, and they need immediate medical attention. Such symptoms include severe skin rash, itching, swelling of the face and throat, breathing trouble, etc. Another such side effect is skin rash that is characterized by blistering and peeling.

- Yellowing of eyes and skin

These symptoms may indicate some serious medical conditions, like heart attack, stroke, lung diseases, and problems of the liver, kidney, blood, or bone marrow. So, immediate medical attention has to be provided to the patient, if he/she develops these symptoms.
Rare Side Effects
Some of the users may develop adverse effects like vertigo, depression, decreased sexual drive, joint pain, etc. In some rare cases, side effects like eosinophilia, swollen tongue, skin peeling, breast enlargement in men, change in taste and smell, hair loss, itchy and watery eyes, burning sensation, loose nails, sensitivity to sun, etc., may be experienced.
Usually, most of the common and minor side effects subside within a few days of use. However, some of the users have to seek medical attention, as the symptoms become persistent or severe. It is advisable to consult the health care provider and report the symptoms, as early as possible. Even an overdose of Tritace can be fatal.
Tritace is not prescribed for kids, adolescents, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and those who are trying to get pregnant. Avoid using this drug during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester. Those with heart diseases, liver or kidney problems, low blood pressure, allergies, and diabetes, should not use this drug. If you are using Tritace, abstain from alcohol consumption and use of potassium supplements. This drug may cause side effects, if used along with NSAIDs, diuretics, and certain steroids. So your doctor must be informed about your medical history and current medication, beforehand. In short, Tritace is found to be safe, but some users may develop mild side effects, which may subside within a few days. Severe Tritace side effects are not common. In case of such side effects, immediate medical attention must be sought.
