Easy Paleo Meals You Need to Know

Home / Paleo / Easy Paleo Meals You Need to Know

We all need no-fuss meals. This is especially true when trying to stick to a strict or regimented diet like paleo. Thankfully, easy paleo meals are possible! Just like any other meal planning situation, all it takes is a little preparation. Once you know what you can eat, easy meals can soon follow.

What to Eat on Paleo

Don’t eat this. Do eat that. It can seriously be exhausting. Paleo focuses on whole foods. In particular, it encourages the foods that humans ate as hunters and gatherers in the Paleolithic era.

Meat, fish, berries, nuts, seeds and non-starchy veggies all get the green light. Obviously, the food back in this era was whole and clean. That said, it is expected for you to buy food that is labeled the same way. Get ready to kick added sugar and processed food to the curb.

Remember that any meat you use needs to be free from nasty additives like nitrates, nitrites, sulfates or added sugars. Read labels carefully! Organic meat is always the best option if your budget allows.

Veggie Frittata

Isn’t it great that eggs are so versatile? This meal proves just that. Grab about 10 eggs and whisk them all in a bowl. Throw in enough salt and pepper to satisfy your seasoning needs. Add in a little cooked bacon, ham, mushrooms and onions. And if you don’t like those, add in other veggies of your choice.

Pour into a cast iron skillet over medium heat and let it harden just a bit around the edges. Place it into a preheated oven at 350 degrees, and let it bake for 30 minutes. You want the top to be nice and golden. Yummy!

Old-Fashioned Hamburgers

Just because you are eating burgers doesn’t mean you absolutely need the bun. Instead, use a nice leaf of romaine lettuce in place of the bread.

Mix a pound of ground beef with one egg. Then, season with minced garlic, onion, salt and pepper. Grill the burgers to your liking.

Top your burger with tomato, avocado (or delicious guacamole) and cooked mushrooms. Wrap it in the lettuce, and eat it up!

Crock-Pot Roast Beef

The Crock-Pot is one of the most convenient kitchen tools available. Typically, you just toss in all of the ingredients, set it and then forget it until it’s done. It does all the work for you!

Using three pounds of boneless beef chuck roast, season it on both sides with sea salt and pepper. Place in a skillet and sear on both sides for about three minutes. Transfer the meat to the crockpot. Top the roast beef with onion, carrots, mushrooms, minced garlic and a few splashes of balsamic vinegar and beef stock. Cook on low for six hours. And that’s all!
